Institute of Textile Technology is a Government Polytechnic College Functioning under the Department of Technical Education, Government of Tamil Nadu, Located in Tharamani, Chennai. It offers 3 Years Diploma in Textile Technology.
This Institute was established in the year 1965 with a 3 year Diploma Course in Textile Technology with an annual intake of 60 students. The curriculum is developed by the state board of Technical Education. This course is offered to both men and women.
The New building (Ground+3 Floors – 3340Sq. Meter) was inaugurated by Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu on 29.10.2024.
The workshop and Laboratories of the Institute were modernized with the latest machineries and equipments under the world Bank Assistance and Ministry of Human Resources Development Scheme.
The primary mission of the institute of Textile Technology is to educate and train the students in specialized area of Textile Technology to meet the human resource needs of the Textile and Garment Industries.
We educate and train students and adults to take responsibility for their own learning and promote an attitude of life long learning.
